ToolFlux is a growing collection of fast, free, and genuinely private utilities for working with images, PDFs, and everyday text. Unlike most "online" converters and compressors, none of these tools upload your files to a server. The moment you pick a file, all of the work — resizing, re-encoding, merging, counting — happens locally on your own device using modern web technology, and the result is handed straight back to you for download.
How client-side processing works
Modern browsers ship with surprisingly capable engines. ToolFlux uses the Canvas API for image work and compiled WebAssembly codecs for high-quality compression and format conversion, and runs the heavy lifting inside a Web Worker so the page never freezes, even with large files. Because the computation runs on your machine, there is no upload wait, no file-size cap imposed by a server, and no copy of your document sitting in someone else's cloud. When you close the tab, nothing remains.
